Because we are committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work, Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs.

Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 50,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs we fund. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised $35 million and currently supports 200 local women’s shelters and national partners. Our agents donate a portion of their commissions and Royal LePage offices across Canada hold local fundraising events. Our brokers, agents and staff also volunteer and provide in-kind goods to benefit the women and children residing in their local shelters.

In July 2017, I had the privilege of joining an enthusiastic group of Royal LePage professionals from across Canada on a journey to Iceland's Southern Highlands where we trekked over 100km across difficult terrain in unpredictable weather. During this 8-day experience, we camped in tents, and went without electricity and cell service and little access to medical care.  It was a challenge but each step we took, we raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and community awareness for women and children who are walking away from violence each and every day in our country.

In support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, I was pleased to raise over $10,000 with all proceeds funding two local shelters, as well as domestic violence prevention programs across the country.   100% of all monies raised – will go directly to helping us put an end to family violence in Canada.
